Penny Black Challenge - August.

Here is my entry for this months challenge .

The theme is "Double Trouble", i:e to use 2 different penny black images.
I did make my own buttons from shrink plastic stamped with one of the flower stamps from T-transparent "Flowers and Wishes" but unfortunately you just can see them all that well, so whilst I had the shrink plastic out I made a charm instead from T-transparent "Purrfect Day"!

I have also been learning to make my own jewellery as well.
These brooches are from Spellbound Beads  - they sell the kits individually to raise money for the QEHB Cyberknife Appeal. Check it out here !

They make great gifts to attach to cards!

Thank you for looking.

Another of lifes milestones.....

Good evening to all!
Well its been a stressful and mad few weeks, culminating in my son leaving home and moving into University flats this Wednesday!. Its definitely a strange feeling - thank god I have my hobby to fall back on, it will help take my mind off the worry.
It doesn't matter how old they are - you are a Mother and its part of the job description - of course he thinks I am being far to fussy about the whole thing!
I suppose I should be grateful that he is confident and able enough to take this step.
.........Now I am wittering! Lets get creative instead!

I finally found a peaceful few hours yesterday to make this card using Sketch Saturdays latest sketch.

I am also entering it into this months Penny Black Challenge where the theme is Summertime.

TTFN, have a great week everyone ;-)

Taking it easy........

Well, it is Sunday, and oh, has the rain come down!

What better excuse for a creative day - not that I need an excuse really!
I have entered this card into 2 challenges, Penny Black Saturday Challenge no 205, where the theme is red, white and blue and Sketch Saturday week 211.
The papers were free with a magazine, and the stamp is from a Penny Black T-Transparent sheet, Bubbly.

Yesterday I discovered that I was a winner at last weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge, along with Linda, who made a beautiful card!Yeah for us!

And speaking of taking it easy, I think my beautiful Siamese has it just right! The saying  - "if you want to finding the warmest, comfiest place in the house, ask the cat" - is so right!

Until the next time, keep well.
